Our story
The company was founded in Joliette by an industrial technician who saw the opportunity to replace analog video recording systems with systems using digital image technology recorded on hard disks by computers; this significantly increased the efficiency of CCTV systems.
To remain competitive, the company has set up installation teams, ensuring continuity of sales and service to its main client Jean Coutu, one of the most appreciated by Quebecers.
In 2006, the company moved to Saint-Lambert for a few years before moving to Longueuil and is now located in Brossard. The acquisition of the Econo-Securité an e-commerce business in 2007 and of Accès-Vision in 2008 increased the customer base with customers such as Videotron, Jeans Dépôt, Subway and many others.
In 2014, the company began offering intrusion alarm systems and access control systems.
At the beginning of 2019, a new acquisition diversifies the company's services with the strategic purchase of Les Entreprises SDN expert in the installation of structured cabling and other equipment. SDN has a well-established network of partners to provide rapid emergency service throughout the province of Quebec and New Brunswick. The territory covered by the offer of services aimed at commercial, industrial and institutional clients covers a large part of Eastern Canada; although the company is now located in Brossard, on the south shore of Montreal. The company now has a little more than twenty permanent employees.
The era through which Secur-Icare is passed was tumultuous in video surveillance with the transition from "black and white" to "color", from tape recording of analog systems to systems that we know now, the digital with artificial intelligence.
